Internet-based homeowner-to-contractor matching service experiencing rapid growth
Denver, CO - November 18, 2005 - BestContractors.com, a web-based homeowner and contractor
matching service, announced today it is responding to strong customer demand by expanding its
service area to include five additional Colorado markets. Colorado Springs, Fort Collins, Pueblo,
Vail and Aspen now join the service which already includes Denver, Boulder, Longmont and Castle Rock.
"We launched in October of this year and have aggressively marketed the site including ads on Comcast
cable," said CEO Mark Henninger. "The response to the ads has been even greater than we expected with
demand coming from homeowners in Colorado cities we didn't yet serve."
The expansion means the site has to widen the scope of contractors within its roster as it receives a
steady stream of project requests from homeowners. "The demand, along with our thorough screening
process is why we've doubled our sales team in just two months," said Charles Greaves, Director of Sales.
The site, found at http://www.BestContractors.com, is free to homeowners who can go online and build
their project, then review profiles of matching contractors. Homeowners are able to do comparative
analyses of contractors and request bids from them. Contractors support the site with membership fees
and must meet strict eligibility requirements.
"We're different from other matching services" said Henninger, "because we screen both homeowners and
contractors and provide process management tools to make the interaction between both parties more
efficient." Other contractor matching services, he explained, make the initial match and then they're done.
