A Master Electrician has passed a standardized test and has at least two years experience.

A Journeyman Electrician has qualified as a Master but is licensed by the state. A Journeyman Electrician has qualified as a Master but is licensed by the state.

Verify the electrical contractor specializes in the work you want done.

When interviewing in person ask to see a copy of state license.

Ask for proof of insurance. Check references.
